Trinkets autoupgrading means I can't win by valuing the right things compared to enemies

After two years in Bronze and getting always lower, I skyrocketed (...to low Silver but that's enough for me) when I started to know where to place the wards of the trinket that I always bought. Now, I can't magically have access to more vision than my opponent. It means that my common sense is less valued as a skill in League of Legends, in favor of "mechanics" (can we just call that "technique" like in every other field?), understanding of waves which is going to get so much harder in 5.23, efficient map movement, map awareness... If not THIS, can we reintroduce some other common-sense based actions for us that have common sense as an individual strenght?
