Preferred champions before bans. PAY ATTENTION TO THEM.

The amount of times my preferred champion gets banned by a teammate is too damn high. Like seriously people? Is it REALLY THAT HARD to LOOK at the preferred champions of your teammates before banning? I wish there was a way to prevent this from happening, maybe an "Are you sure?" Dialogue box if you attempt to ban a champion that one of your teammates has preferred to play? I don't know. But it's infuriating.

Idk about you but if I see someone wanting to yasuo top and I know yasuo gets rekt by most toplaners I'm not gonna bother letting you set yourself up for getting destroyed. :^)

Okay....so you just ban the champion without saying anything to the guy? That's a way to tilt your teammates...

  1. There are champs that I never have a good experience with on my teams.
  2. There are just plain bad champs.
  3. If there is a pick ban and you aren't first pick, you might want to ban it anyway.
  4. Champs who can troll your teammates are always viable bans.

Others have brought up a point though. If someone hovers Teemo support with ghost and cleanse, then hell yeah I'm banning him. If someone hovers Yasuo top lane or Thresh mid lane, then yeah I might ban that too. Mind you, this is only in a ranked game.

you're probably the kind of idiot to try to last pick zed jungle

You're talking about looking at the "Pick intent" or saying that everyone should look you up via lolnexus or something and see your prefered Champions?

If it's the latter then I bring the counterpoint, how hard is it to say something along the lines "Hey everyone, I prefer to play X Y and Z"?

Banning out an allies choice if it is terrible for team comp isn't always bad. If 5 people wanna lock in 5 squishy non ccing champs then you probably dont wanna play that game from the get go. This exact scenario happened to me with top going Fiora and yasuo mid with a jungle yi against a darius, voli, blitcrank enemy team. I knew we were screwed from champ select and only confirmed it when both top and mid lost every fight they attempted and proceded to throw tantrums/afk. People need to look at team comp first before just trying to auto lock their most favoritist champ. Oh yeah and counter picks. DONT PICK A CHAMP INTO YOUR NATURAL COUNTER!!!

yes there ARE troll picks that most sane people would ban even if they DID show pick intent on that champ.

but OVERALL the OP is 100% correct.

pick intent is there for a reason it to SHOW you team want you want to play so u can all build a team that works together

and not end up having a "full AD" team or a team without any sort of tank.

when people DONT show pick intent of BAN somone's pick intent. it just makes it THAT much harder to get a viable team
