Good Day Good Day!

Support main right here. I am not really good at any other roles.... just being honest here. I want to try to learn the jungle, i mean i have played it before and what not but i would like to actually get decent at it. Who are some good starter junglers i can try out? clearly i would be trying them out in bot games before i dare try them in a normal. Can anyone either give me some pointers or links to places where i can find the how tos or how to get betters? I like to do as much research and learning before i make an attempt. thank you all so much in advance!

Happy Gaming

Amumu Jax MasterYi Warwick : these are some good starting junglers, they are easy to use with simple kits.

Warwick and Fiddlesticks are the easiest champions to learn jungling with.

Some general tips from my experience: As you finish a camp after your initial clear, look at both lanes you're between. If either lane has the enemy overextended (past the half way mark) considering going in for a gank. Or if the enemy is low enough on life that you can kill him immediately, then go ahead and tower dive if you can survive it.

ALWAYS ping when you're planning on going to a lane for a gank. While it might not be that helpful in early elo, later on, it makes a huge difference. Intelligent laners will see the ping and either bait them into overextending more if they're in a bad position, or push hard so the minions take turret aggro to set up a tower dive.

If you ever gank bot and come out ahead, debate whether y'all can follow up and take dragon. Bot ganks where you kill without getting killed quite often lead to ideal times to take dragon.

Map awareness is probably the biggest thing you need to be on top of as a jungler, after map awareness id say positioning is next most important, even if the enemy is in a good gankable position, if your position is off when you go in, it can really make or break a gank. And remember that a good gank doesnt mean you get a kill, getting 1-2 summoners spells off a gank is actually a good turn out for a gank too, it means your bot lane has the advantage as long as they didnt have to use any for when they duke it out later after you leave.

And this part is just personal preference, but i usually run smite/ghost on nearly every jungler i play because of the utility ghost offers for ganking/mobility in general vs flash. For instance, you're going to gank top lane because enemy laner is pushed up to your tower, but you know they have it warded, with boots + Ghost + what ever mobility your champ has, even if they pay attention and see you because of their ward, you having ghost, which they will almost always not notice, will put you on top of them much faster than they anticipated, usually forcing a flash or a 2v1 fight for your team, and since ghost has a much lower cooldown than flash, if you burn it and dont get a good gank off, youll be better off than burning flash and not having that for 5 min.
