Ranged Character Advice + Tactics Question

Hello everyone,

I just started to play Kindred and its amazing. Just from one game (even though I lost) I really like her/his playstyle.

One thing to note is that because Kindred is a ranged character, how should she fight in teamfights?

I'm pretty new to this game, so I understand if there is some sort of mechanic I am doing wrong. Whenever I play a ranged character, such as Kindred, Ashe, Teemo, etc,

Should I shift + click to target someone? Its just that everytime we get into a team fight everythings going crazy and I always feel I am stuck RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE. What should I do?

I should also probably mention that I've only ever played as her once. I kept dying to a Akali. ;n;

In general, ranged champions don't want to be the ones to start a fight. There are exceptions, but I don't think Kindred is one of them.

Instead, you want wait for a teammate to engage on a target, then focus fire on the squishiest damage dealer you can to take them out.
