So hextech protobelt the new duskblade?
as in... people thought it'd be ridiculously op, but now that it's out... nobody gives a fuck?

The few champs that would build it, like Morg/Kennen/Fid, would rather build other things like Zhonyas and possibly Rylais.
So yeah, I guess it's like Duskblade....
Once enough people figure out the point-blank damage potential of the item rivals some ultimates, I'm sure it'll get built.
Its a good item.
Does this affect zed? no, so nothing changed.
It's nothing like duskblade:
With duskblade assassin players said it's gonna be crap, and carries/mages said it's gonna be broken. It turned to be decent item, that found place in builds of champions it was supposed to.
With Protobelt, everyone said it's gonna be broken, and mage players said it's gonna be n00btrap. And it is a n00btrap indeed, in it's current shape, even Annies don't bother to build it.
the distance isn't that overbearing.
I dunno. I've been making good use of it on Galio.
It actually helps me get into position to ult a bit more easily and adds a bit to my damage potential while giving stats Galio likes.
I can't say much about it on other champs though. I imagine it'd be okay on Malphite and Blitzcrank.
Don't forget the executioners calling.
yeah. its incredibly op in certain situations. by certain situations i mean 1 out of 1000 times. too situational to buy. I'd rather buy something that give me consistent result. I pick ravenous hydra over duskblade
I've still actually yet to see it or build it
Protobelt is good IF you have Rylai's; now that's an active that actully lets you catch up to people. I rock it hard on Morde, I imagine Rumble and Vlad would make good use of it as well.
Well, people fears changes, that is part of human nature. We can't blame them. But, nonetheless, you are right.
