So i saved up and bought the portrait border cause i thought it looked cool. it seemed like a lot of coins for something that only affects how you look when you are waiting to get into the game but I like it regardless. Much to my chagrin someone had to inform me that it only gives you the border if you are playing the champion with the god skin....what kind of bs is that? Uh...fix this shit riot? or refund me my coins. ill buy some stupid skin shards.
It is said that the boarder is for that champ.... same as the Star Guardian ones, with the ultimate skins.... etc.
why would you want a god king border on a skin that isn't god king themed? sounds pretty stupid to me. borders are specifically themed for the skins they come with/earned with.
I have said this about all of the borders. I didn't know this either when I first started playing. We should have the option to use the borders on whatever champ or mix and match with skins as we please.
yet another person complaining about what amounts to a "fine print" issue. -.- Please use this as a learning experience and next event remember to look at the site for all the info so you don't fool yourself again. Also if you are a new player please don't try to use "but I'm new, how was I to know" excuse. Riot only started making these special boarders a year or 2 ago, and this event has been the only time I have seen so many people complaining about "not knowing". This "mistake" is on the players that chose to buy without looking or thinking, not Riot.

Yep happened to me too. Feel VERY cheated. Will remember this next time I think about spending any $$ on this game.
