Fiddlesticks and his midlane role
Hey,
I don't know if this is the right place to propose a suggestion or more like a request but I'll give it a try.
My name is Scaręcrow in League of Legends and Fiddlesticks is my all time favorite champ. I started playing League mainly because of his appearance (as I stated more detailed in this reddit comment) and even when I kind of stopped playing him for a couple seasons, I definitely knew what I had missed when I picked him up again in 2016 for midlane (as I have always played him). I forgot how much fun League as a game was but as I started playing Fiddlesticks again it was like starting the game all over again.
I could count all the wonderful things that Fiddle brought to me through the game (reaching Diamond last season for example, or experiencing the most fun gaming nights in my entire life) but there's something way more important that I wanna talk about.
The recent changes to Fiddlesticks on PBE were pretty frustrating to read as a Middlesticks main. You removed his Dark Wind's additional damage to minions and focused on jungle monsters instead. That's only understandable, as he was or is intended to be a Jungler. Also the popularity lists on websites like op.gg or League of Graphs show that Support and Jungle are his most popular roles (which the buff on him focused on as well).
Still the stats also show that there exist people who like to play him in the midlane and the recent PBE changes were definitely unfavourable to his middle role.
Therefore, my suggestion is to give him small buffs overall before you rework him completely. I'm sure there are ways to give him buffs without pressing him into specific roles but rather give him the option to succeed as a champion overall - not as a champion in only 1 or 2 roles.
Regarding the rework, I hope you design him as a versatile champ that can fill in Support and Jungle first and foremost but also leaves the option for a niche pick in the midlane.

So I don't know if you'll ever read this but when you do, I want to make only one point clear: I don't want you to destroy his midlane role. I'm sorry if this comes off as harsh but I can imagine you to somehow empathize with my frustration. I know it's still early and you are still experimenting but the PBE changes already showed us which direction you want to go with Fiddlesticks and right now there's still a chance for every Middlesticks player to have some influence on that.
