Managing Farming while the Midgame has started

Hi Guys. When I am playing as midlane, farming goes well til min 15. When the Midgame has started and all players starting to group, its really hard to maintain your cs score. If you want to take cs on a side lane it often happens that the enemie Team starts to engage. Does anyone have tipps to manage your farming in Mid - Lategame ? :)
