Ranked placements for season 7. (7th. of December) - quick question!

I was just wondering something, and i really want some valid and right answers. I finished season 6 in Platinum, and even though this is silly, i have seen people who did not rank lower than their previous divisions, mainly in start of the season 6. Is there any possibility that if i am Platinum and win 10 games and lose 0 be placed in Platinum 4-3 or 1? I also heard that MMR has the biggest influence on your placement queues.

Last year I was plat 3 and was placed plat 5 after my placements. I didn't play the last 9 months of the season though and decayed to gold :p. Since everyone in challenger will essentially be put in plat 1 after the placements it's hard to imagine you getting put there, but you might stay in plat 4 or 5. It's more common to go down to like gold 1-3 though.
