If I try to auto-attack minions, I'll have to walk closer to the minion, and thus I'll get harassed by the enemy champion (who is generally a ranged champ, like lux). How do I avoid this? In scenarios where the enemy champ is stronger than me and ranged, how can I get CS without losing major HP? I generally play on the mid-lane as Katarina.
In mid lane you can generally stand to the side of the minion wave so they cant CS and harass you at the same time. If they choose to use abilities on you then you can shove the wave. if they choose to use abilities to CS then you can walk in to CS and walk back to the side without getting hit by abilities. Usually dont stand IN the minion wave, ward the river so you can just walk through the river path to get out or watch for a gank coming from your side
With Kat you can use your abilities to dodge theirs to punish them every time they miss or try to CS with abilities
Considering you basically only play Katarina -- start with Doran shield if you're worried about a poke heavy champ and realize that's it's fine to lose some CS during level 1-2.
you should name your main lane and champ for this. because every lane differs
