It is pre-season, your rank does not matter. Either play to improve as a player or play to improve your MMR so you get better placements next season.
For the latter, dodge games that look likely to be a loss in champ select. Use op.gg multi search to check up on your team mates. You just copy and paste the messages in the lobby chat about who has entered the lobby.
For the former, play a solo lane instead of support. Play one champion and one champion only for which ever solo lane (or play that champ in both). Play to learn how the lane, don't worry about what comes after lane. The champ should be easy to pick up the basics of after a few games and should have a straight forward play style so you can identify what you should have done when reviewing replays of your games. The champ should not have good way to evade ganks on a basic ability. They should not have an overly unique play style. They should not be able to AFK push the wave from a safe distance. Do play in an interactive manner against your opponents.
While it is possible to get better while playing support, it is easier to identify what is going wrong in a solo lane and then work on fixing the issues.
Then once you have improved go back to support and after a period of readjusting to the role and the champs you play in it climbing higher will be easier if you apply what you learned to your support game play.
