Why does Adaptive Force give more AP than AD instead of having a balance?

Title.

Feels like it favors mages instead of bruisers, assassins, etc. that rely on them. Transcendence also does this with 10 AP or 6 AD on extra CDR. Is it due to the sheer abundance of CDR based AD items? If it is can't they just do the same to AP items?

Also, I just realized that name Adaptive Force was chosen because it's AD AP tive force. I don't know if I'm late on the uptake but I still find it interesting. Is it intentional or coincidental?

Because AP value =/= AD value. Not only that, but AD is MUCH more valuable early than AP.

I just assumed it was because AD champions get base AD per level while AP champions don’t get base AP per level.

Are u even playing this game? Ad and ap champions have diffrent scaling, ap champion have lower % scaling on abilities and they can get like 1k ap when ad champion have high scaling and can get like 400 ad or something

Because AD applies to basic attacks AND abilities, passives, and actives that scale off AD. AP, however, only applies to abilities, passives, and active items that apply AP ratios. And AP ratios vary. Something with a 10% AP ratio would only apply +1 AP from 10 adaptive force whereas something with a 60% AP ratio would apply +6 AP from adaptive force.

It's all basic algebra, which makes it confusing as fuck.

AP is gated by Cooldown reduction and Has a Cost associated with it. AD is simply improved by Attack speed and resourceless.

Frankly im depressed i have to explain this. Maybe ask the question to yourseld next time and try to find the answer on your own.
