Master Yi Balance, My Way.
If i were on the Live Gameplay Team (Balance Team), and I was changing Master Yi. I would make simple but meaningful changes to almost all of his skills.
His passive I wouldn't touch. Its a staple to his play style and is good for a level 2 all in in lane and works well with devouerer in the jungle.
On his Q i would change the scaling. Currently it has 25 / 60 / 95 / 130 / 165 (+ 100% AD). Changing this to Bonus AD and adding more flat damage would make building AD on him better overall. Make it similar to Zed's Q but not quite that strong, too high of numbers would just bring back the both loved and dreaded AP Master Yi play style.
For his W i would Change the AP scaling to AD scaling give it a small percentage so that it increases in power but not enough to give him infinite sustain. I'm sure a 3-5% ratio wouldn't be the end of the world. Hell, I'd be OK with the flat out removal of the AP ratio altogether. It doesn't fit into the rest of his kit after his rework and doesn't offer much anyway.
On his E I would include the recent Bonus AD change that is currently on the PBE and would also change the lackluster passive. More AD for attack speed could be interesting taking a page out of Jhin's Book. It keeps a similar core to what he has now and makes it so that items like Static Shiv, and Phantom Dancer more viable on him. Gone are the days of the wriggles lantern, really fast boots, and 4 double swords but who doesn't want attack speed, crit chance, and movement speed?
I wouldn't change is Ult either. It gives him resets, movement speed, attack speed, and slow resistance. Everything he could ever want or need and has been a staple on him for a long time.
These are my ideas for changing Master Yi into the Squishy Assassin that he is supposed to be and removing/nerfing the popular Tank Yi build that has been face rolling in recent patches.
Don't agree with me or have a different idea? I would love to hear it.
