High play rate should = a higher win rate

I keep on seeing on posts from Riot employees that a champion needs to be needed because it has a high win rate for people who play that champ numerous times. For example I saw on the patch chat they are needing Aurellion Sol because he has a 60% win rate when someone plays him 30 or more times. To me that makes sense, someone who has practice at something should be better then average.

you should only reach 55%+ winrate at 125+ games.

Best example is fiddlesticks. His playerbase average games is like 180 on champion.gg which is about 100 more than the next champ. And still recieved nerfs. Sad really

First: Play Rate is how often a champion is picked in general, counting both first time players and mains. Second: While everyone expects someone who mains a champion to do better with them, there should be some limitations on that curve. There shouldn't be one or two champions that, if mained, make you head and shoulders better than other champion mains in every situation.

In AurelionSol 's case, players with 15-50 games on him were averaging almost 59% win rates, with the win rate increasing from there.

Couldn't agree more. I'm being punished for being good on azir, even though he's terrible in the hands of new players

they're specifically comparing it to other champs with high win rates at multiple games. For example, they might feel like X champion is healthy, reaching 58% winrate on people that have played 125 games on that champion, but Aurelion sol is too strong because he sits at 65% by people with that same number of games on him.

(these numbers are random and likely inaccurate)
