I'm not angry anymore, Riot. I'm just disappointed.
At this point, I don't even care if this account no longer has board access, because I don't even respect the company that's in charge of it. I've waited months for the lot of you to get off your asses and fix the meta. Months. If this were any half decent developer, you'd all have been replaced by now. Unfortunately, it seems the people at the top have as much of an astounding work ethic as the people they're in charge of, so that's obviously not going to happen here, is it?
I'm disappointed that you'd so readily give up on the majority of your player base so you can chase the Call of Duty/immediate satisfaction crowd.
I'm disappointed you're more concerned about twitch viewers than you are the quality of the game they're watching.
I'm disappointed that you're so quick to point fingers at other people than to accept SOME accountability on your part.
I'm disappointed that you ignore the concerns of your players for literally half a year, until you have no choice.
The Riot of the past wasn't perfect, that much was obvious, but they weren't any of you.
Also, Ghostcrawler. I obviously have no definitive proof that you ruined WoW, nor do I have any definitive proof that you're ruining League. That hardly means you're free of blame. By your own admission, "it is the designer's job to make it fun." These are YOUR words, not mine. The game right now is provably not fun. Yet, the fact that you've done very little to curtail the gigantic problems plaguing League right now makes you just as much part of the problem as the people you claim to have no control over. You are in a position to influence things in League right now and you barely exercise that influence. I roll my eyes every time you say it's not your problem because you're not in charge of "that team", because the fact is, you can make a difference, yet you choose not to. Your attempt to defer blame to literally anyone else is nothing short of cowardice.
As for the Riot brown-nosers that float around the New section of the boards, downvoting everything that might be construed as criticism towards League, allow me to ask you one very simple question.
If Riot could so readily give up on the old player base and what they wanted, what makes you think they won't toss you aside in the future if it suited them?
