Melee Only champs can never be played competitively

I see a real problem with Melee only champs with no play making abilities or escapes, like Darius or Olaf. They can never be viable competitively. The game is all about making plays via flashing around and in, out and over everything. A champ who's only ability is to stand there and fight will get stomped on by anything else.

Melee only champs, like Darius, supposedly can 1v1 any other champ in the game but that's BS, it doesn't happen, Darius will get rolled on by any other champ after level 6. Look at Riven or Talon, both of them do MORE damage then someone like Darius or Olaf plus have escapes and chased owns + range. Its stupid. No one but Riot is making these champs unplayable.

If yorure a huge slow no escape melee only champion. you should be able to womp ANY champs that's on top of you.

Everyone says that there are certain champs that aren't played competitively and that's the way it is. Its nonsense, make them competitive. Melee only champs should be stronger than assassins in lane, they should be stronger than mages once you're on top of them at any level. Give them more Health make their health scale harder. Frign Sion and Volibear has like the same starting health as Lux in half the games I play its sad. Make it so you can outplay them but you need to outplay them more than once .

If they don't get played in tournament because they can never win, then MAKE THEM STRONGER.

Olaf and Darius are the wrong champions to base an argument off of. They're almost like Poppy in regards to balance.

...Holy shit that's going to get misunderstood fast.

What I'm trying to say is that their kits, as they are now, have terrible balancing levers. Olaf literally negates any direct form of fighting him back in the form of dueling him/damage thanks to his surplus of Lifesteal, and CC thanks to his Ultimate. Not to mention he has a lot of (almost) invisible power in his kit, especially made worse seeing that that invisible power is variable. Along with this, there is a myriad of problems with Darius' kit as it is now. Granted, they're not as bad as Poppy in terms of irreparable balancing levers, but you need to realize there is something mechanically wrong with these champions that you can't fix with just straight buffs, or else they can far too easily snowball into the worst things to happen to League of Legends.
