Does the Flex Ranked affect your current division?

So, i just recently finished my placements for Flex Ranked queues. The thing is, using logic and understanding from the sites on Google, Flex Ranked is the type of queues that are basically similar to "team ranked" queues, and from my understanding, it does not have any influence on your current Dynamic (soon solo, duo) rank. So, am i right? Flex Ranked is just like team ranked queue that doesn't affect your mmr in solo.duo rank division? Right?
