Idea For Ranked System Improvement
Instead of punishing your high win rate players by placing them with weak teammates (heavy loss streaks, bad kda averages for their elo/class, etc) without any cushioning, why not offer LP bonuses to those who manage to win games with them and disregard the loss as far as recalculating their MMR? In other words, losing with weaker teammates wouldn't make a dent on your winstreak. However, if you're on the other end, being paired with stronger players and you lose, you should Definitely take a hit (e.g. 17-19 LP loss) considering you weren't even carry-able.
It makes more sense as opposed to basing it off solely between average combined MMRs of both teams on a win/loss basis. I had like a 67% winrate on another account and after only a handful of losses started losing like 17 LP and gaining 23. Godbless. I shouldn't be forced to play out more games when I can try my ass off yet one teammate's bad performance diminishes any hopes I have of carrying that game, because it's a matter of who gets fed first. If you need proof, just look at pro play these days. Everybody in LCS is afraid to fight for the most part because they understand how ridiculously disadvantaged they will be if they make a single error, as opposed to previous seasons where a lot more action happened because there was more room for error and thus, more opportunities to turtle back into the game.
Until then, I can only try my ass off HOPING my teammates are decent enough to grant me the opportunity to carry in the first place. It's a lot easier to feed than it is to Get Fed. In other words, the current system is more of a game of chance based on the current state of the game compared to other seasons, and that's why players, especially pro streamers (whom in case you've yet to notice have been leaving in droves) are leaving this game and casuals are giving up on ranked. It's not rocket science.
