I need advice on how to climb out of Bronze

I really need help on closing out games. Usually can do okay in lane, but transitioning to mid and late is really hard for me. Whenever I play Flex I always seem to get matched with people way above my skill level. I played a couple of ranked games and I seem to be gaining around 31 LP a game. Is the Flex systems matchmaking wacky or is my MMR higher than my current tier? Anyway that's besides the point.

TLDR: I need advice on how to close out games and just general game knowledge. Thank you for reading

Farm. Push lanes. Ward. Don't engage unless they make mistakes. Gotta learn to poke and peel and not always full-engage. Aside from that, WATCH THE MINIMAP. There's important stuff going on there......

Oh, and it doesn't hurt to know the champion you're playing. Like, really well.

Hope this helps!

Shove stuff out, and make plays when you see someone on the enemy team out.

play champions that can take towers, learn to farm well, take towers.

This is 100% what you need to get out of bronze

I GOTCHU FAAAAAM My friend climbed out of Bronze V and he told me what he did to get out.

  1. He watched videos and tutorials for the basics.
  2. He always played safe and smart. He would never engage with his important summoners (FLASH) if he knew he couldn't 100% get a kill.
  3. He practiced in customs and normals the champions he played, so he was VERY good at them.
  4. He played CARRY champions; especially the low skill, high carry potential champions. (For example, Annie, Amumu, Pre-rework Ryze, etc.)
  5. He played around his jungler. He would bait out the enemy flash and then call for his jungler, usually securing a kill.
  6. He always, ALWAYS supported his team with encouraging words and help. (He got a ribbon thing at some point)
  7. He knew how to carry even when he was behind. He could go from zero to hero by engaging with his team and having generally good mechanics.
  8. He usually duo queued with his jungler (not really needed but smart) It's not really boosting if the person you duo queue with is around the same elo and also trying to climb.
  9. He had GREAT map awareness. He doesn't play with a locked screen and he wards in smart places. He doesn't die to ganks often, but if he does he probably didn't have flash. Btw he's Gold III now.
