Hybrid items passover where?

When Riot un-reworked Kog they said he was preventing hybrid items from being buffed and basically left inadequate on most champs that would like them. They said after reverting Kog they could look into buffs for them. Aside from giving rageblade some attack speed I haven't seen much and was wondering if they were ever going to follow up on this... Or is it just that hybrid items are considered fine as is?
