Best offensive item for Shen?

Triforce vs. Wit's End (when they have AP) vs. Statikk Shiv vs. BOTRK? Triforce gives some pretty nasty turret damage and dueling power, Shiv helps clear waves faster, and not sure about the other two. Thoughts?

as shen u are not going to be split pushing, nor killing. you are meat tank and suppose to be disruptive in team fights.

the only thing good damage item i can think for shen would be a abysall scepter if enemy team was heavy AP. or sunfirecape for aoe damage. other than that shen does not go well with damage so either be a full tank or pick a different champion.

I don't play or like Shen, but out of those, I'd pick Wit's 99% of the time, just cuz triforce is expensive, and Shen's a tank. And Bork for sure.

If he became a duelist, you can kiss his ult goodbye. He is great the way he is. Just some do his job a tad bit better, AND with damage.

Yeah the days of Split Push Shen are about two seasons past so really just go with what was mostly said about and build like a tank and prepare to take a couple for the team.

Give you credit for still wanting to play him, I personally can't enjoy him in the current Meta as one slip up just puts him too far behind for good.

Triforce is more tank friendly (scales with your level as well), wit's end is also fitting as well (on top of providing MR), also has synergy with sunfire cape.

Easy, the best offensive item is Wit's End. This is because even if you get a bit of damage, you are still going to be a dedicated tank. Wit's end provides faster procs on your passive when your feint shield is up, and provides a flat on-hit bonus magic damage value that you won't have to worry about stacking another stack to make viable (like nashor's requires plenty of AP usually). The Magic resist per hit is nice as it allows you to build up the MR stacking quickly once you engage with a taunt and if you hit the majority of the enemy team with it, you should be able to build up that passive on the item plenty before they get a real chance to retaliate. Wit's end, however, is a situational item. You would only get it if they have substantial enough AP, or you are playing an AP champion top lane (instead of rushing sunfire you could potentially rush mercs or wit's end depending on how aggressive they are). Wit's end is excellent against more passive laning AP champs like maokai, alistar, or malphite imo.

There's something about buying Triforce on manaless champs that's just...very unsettling. I just don't like knowing that I'm blatantly paying more for stats that I won't ever need.

My vote would be Wits, but I'm not really a Shen player.

Wits end, because attack speed and MR. Shen SHOULD be split pushing, because of his ult. Hes one of the best people to be pushing, because if they send someone up at him, your team can engage, and its instantly a 4v5 again with Shens ult

Technically you could also consider Zhonya and Abyssal as replacement for a pair of tanks item, and thus got a very good amount of AP that boost all his abilities.

sunfire cape is the best offensive item to build on shen
