Actually there's no an accidental "One Shot Meta". The game just became faster a long all the time, and now with the all 10 Years of LOL, we just finally opened the eyes to these slight changes.

Because everytime when Riot could improve their systems and servers to run faster plays and more complexal features, they always went to it. And with other hand, the players PC, along the years, could also run a fast paced game.

But obviously, Riot had their own intentions here. They could just have kept the game slow, as in the early season, until 10 year later... But actually the game is now in this state because in someway they see a good thing in "Fast = Cool", so everytime when they could did the game in this way, they did it.

The sad is there's nothing what we can do about it to be changed. Because keep playing and buying skins isn't helping with changing Riot intentions.

Chinese players like fast paced bloody games, as do NA kids - Remember, League's playerbase is 16 and under as the majority. As in, more players are 16 or younger than 17 and older - and slow, strategic games make for unappealing sport.

Riot pushes the high-action, proactive-no-reaction gameplay because it benefits the main revenue sources, China and eSports.
