Everything wrong with the new BE system and the solutions:

If I missed something go ahead and put it down. Hopefully we can get some Riot responses on what they PLAN on doing other than just the system statistically is the same but understand that people arent enjoying it.

And to clarify, yes the current system gives around the same BE, im getting incredoubly unlucky and only get the one that is like 75% worse than previous but it IS about the same. 1000ish IP per level isnt too bad with how long it takes to get. At least as long as it stays similar and doesnt get crazy levels 100+. But the new system still feels wrong which leads me into my first point.

1: The system FEELS wrong. Keeping the generation the same but changing how it works isnt the WORST thing possible it just FEELS worse. Why? Because at the end of the day people want to feel rewarded. And the current system doesnt FEEL rewarding. Why? Because of the holy trinity of rewards: Old system: Short term rewards - IP gain after game Long term goal/rewards - owning all champions skill based rewards - Ranked New system: Long term goal/rewards - BE from leveling, Infinite leveling, Owning all champions Skill based rewards - Ranked Short term rewards - ???

Short term has nothing to satisfy you other than EXP. HOWEVER as any gamer will tell you, unless its an insane amount EXP never FEELS like a reward, it feels more like a necessary thing to attain to GET your reward, so without any short term reward league's rewards and leveling system FEELS bad.

Solution: Add a short term reward. They are adding a bit of BE onto the Daily but also lowering the EXP amount so itll feel the same. What needs to happen is a short term reward needs to be added after every game. Something along the lines of lowering BE from disenchanting by about 20% but also making it so that after every game we get like 30 for a win 50 for a loss. This means we would FEEL like we are progressing after every game.

2: The champion capsules themselves. I havent seen a 6300 yet, and i hear a lot of people are also not having the greatest odds. I dont know the current odds, nor what the best tweaks would be.

As well as Riot states that more expensive champions are easier to get if you get the shards. But 6300 shards feel pretty impossible to attain.

Solution: Increase the chance of 6300s, lower chance of poorer rewards.

  1. There is nothing other than BE to use the shards you dont want on. Since if you get 450s and 1350s the most since they are the lowest costing they dont want you to feel completely cheated, if you dont play those champions they are just small bits of BE. Say you dont play any 450/1350 champion, then using them for mastery becomes irrelevant. If they are that cheap you probably own then pretty easily so using them to purchase them isnt possible. The ONLY thing you can do in those situations is disenchant for 90/270BE which feels awful.

Solution: Add SOMETHING to use skin shards on/maybe reroll for skin shards, reroll for keys, SOMETHING else.

  1. Orange Essence: Riot said that with the new system skins and orange essence will be easier to get. Which currently is false, they better add those systems pretty quick here as well. Many people are upset with the OE being around HALF of what they used to and no change in drop rates. And a rare single 975 skin every 10 levels SEVERELY is no where near as worth you get with the old system.

Solution: They need to either increase OE values until they add more ways to get these skin shards, or people will flat stop buying chests as a lot already have. There is no "Wait and see how other regions feel" There is no change, just a reduction in how easy it is to get OE. There is no new system currently. And several months for them to be implemented is way too long for people.

So the new system has its problems... a lot of them. And hopefully i nailed a few as well as the solutions. If i miss something comment it down below. Hopefully Riot can get in here and put out some fires.
