Varus is in dire need of some buffs. He's been around a 47-48% winrate for most of season 9. Now it might not be a big deal for skill intensive champs like Akali or Riven(lol) to have a negative winrate, but for a champ like Varus it shows he's clearly underpowered. His ult is the only reason to even consider picking him.
But we're buffing Lucian instead :)
Meanwhile Kaisa at 30% pick rate for most of the season and spammed in pro play no nerfs in sight.
Honestly the balance team just hates Varus.
Varus is pro play dominant when strong.
Because Riot doesn't want all champions at 50%?
Meanwhile
#1 ADC (or at minimum, top 3) SINCE her release and has gone like 10 months without a balance change.
blatantly broken for like years now and has only gotten one non-compensated nerf, and it was a small cooldown nerf.
getting buffs when if anything they should be getting nerfs.
most banned champions in the game for years now and only zed has recieved nerfs, which were always either due to indirect buffing or had compensation buffs attached to them. So no actual nerfs.
high pickrate, banrate and winrate for longer than i can remember and no nerfs.
The list goes on.
