@Vesh I think I found a way for Soraka to keep her mana infusion.

As you already said it's weird to put it on either of her AoE, but why not put it in the obvvious place: with her Astral Infusion. Of course you can't put both effects together, because it would be a waste if you don't want the other effect.

But how about using something akin to Twisted Fate's "Pick a Card"? Activate the spell twice (or keep pressing with smartcast) to switch from health infusion to mana infusion.

Additionally, you could also put some "on enemy cast" portion back on the Infusion. Considering Soraka has no direct damage spell otherwise.

It sounds good but I would like to have the heal on hand. Would really hate it if I'm trying to heal my ally and I accidently give them mana instead. I'm assuming it's still going to cost that 10% of max health. If I'm paying that kind of price, I would rather have it go to health. Also doing damage to the enemies, for 10% max health, it's going to need to do some major damage to justify those cost. She may become a bully if that becomes the case.

I don't know. I prefer that her ult has a passive that gives mana every time she heal so it won't be abusive in laning phase

That's what I was thinking too. If it's going to have both a mana and health cost, why not give it mana infusion also? My idea would be to just have it equal to the mana cost (otherwise it would probably be too OP), but if your target has full health then the health cost is removed and the mana cost is doubled.

I wouldn't give it an offensive component though. Maybe. It depends on what the numbers are for everything else. (And personally, I think the E should be changed altogether--it just seems out of place.)
