Riot doesn't understand player centric league and division reset

When players fight their way to a league and a division in that league in months or in an entire season which is a year work (!!!!) and Riot just throw them back 2-3 leagues (not divisions, leagues!) lower at season reset, I can say it's not player oriented behaviour from any company. Especially if we take into consideration that is elo hell in the very low leagues, so when you put a plat or gold player in silver or bronze league the weight to go back to the original league and division is many times harder (especially in this high variance game environment) than in upper leagues where players tend to cooperate and make more logical decisions, there is less ragequit, etc - because LoL is a TEAM game and you only valued by team result (it would be nice if players valued by solo results too, but Riot only prize after team is lost or won, which is again unfair by the way... but it's another story). So every players thrown back 2-3 leagues instead of just reset their division to the lowest division in their original league. (If you were plat 3 , then you can go to plat 5 in case of most lost placements, but not lower for example)

There was a time to learn the lesson at flex reset when most of the players demonstrate against that kind of deep reset, it was a good joke from Riot to ignore the players. And make the same reset in real season in real ranked, hmm.

So the reset handling by Riot is nonsense and only make all players angry. I asked this topic from my friends and 99% answers were: it's not fair. Think about it how many players will leave the game with frustration and don't spend any money for skins anymore in this game which is hurts the business. If a game company can't understand he needs to be for the players, because the players feed the company - well, you will see the results... Good luck

IIRC, they have performed a soft-reset after every season.

The only issue with the reset for Flex Queue in preseason was that something went wrong and placements were significantly off.

Quite frankly, this was entirely expected by the vast majority of the player-base who plays ranked games.

If you deserve your previous ranking, you will be able to climb back rather easily.

Riot isn't hurting for your money.

If you are good enough to be in the league you were in, you can get back up there. If you can't get up there, maybe you don't deserve to be in that league. Being in gold isn't something you deserve by default because you may have happened to climb that high years ago and have skated by without having to earn it, recently. Bronze is flooded right now with players from unranked to gold from last season. As the days go on, it will be filtered out and plenty will move on up, leaving behind those who are in their proper league. It takes time and hard work and consistency.

You can make progress by: -- Being patient -- Not being toxic in game -- Encouraging positive attitudes in game and keeping your team on track -- Playing champions and roles you can personally carry as -- Worrying less about being able to tell people you're Gold, and more about playing like it

Your team winning and playing like they should starts with you.

Period.

Take comfort in the fact that you are now just like everyone else and we are all climbing together. Good luck with your climb.
