Why are they called Balance Team?

Are they called Balance Team just to be laughed at? Because I can't think of other reason. They surely aren't balancing the game. Shouldn't they be called Buff and Nerf Team or Gutting Your Champion Team or maybe even I Love Riven So Much That I Won't Nerf Her Team.

Ok. Let's stop with that and be serious. Balance doesn't mean manipulation of meta and blindly buffing and nerfing. Balance is caring for all champions to be playable and not overpowered. Why did Balance Team change into Meta Manipulation Team idk. Maybe for money from LCS or something. It feels disgusting to play this game.
