ARAM Really Needs Updated / Patched Up

1.) Team comps are complete garbage in the majority of games. They aren't even fun matches to play, a lot of times you know before the match even starts that unless the enemies are worse than Bronze V players, you're probably going to win or lose.

2.) ARAM doesn't teach realistic item purchases and encourages feeding. Many champions are unable to compete with the range and damage of several ranged enemies striking them at once and can only engage with abilities which often times have very long cool timers. This teaches players often questionable methods and builds for playing certain champions. The mechanic of having to die before being able to purchase is completely wrong in so many ways as well.

3.) Player abuse the "random" method of the mode by limiting the number of champions they have. This defeats the whole purpose the game mode. If I'm not mistaken, ARAM is meant to test you and help you learn a wide variety of champions... not prove how good you are at all your best champions against a bunch of players forced to play champions they might not be that good at.

I really suggest following the role layout of ranked in ARAM to help better balance teams in ARAM.

1 Marksman 1 Mage / Assassin 1 Bruiser / Tank 1 Assassin 1 Support

Who gets what role and champion can still be completely random, however these games really need some type of comp layout to prevent teams like 4 supports being forced to play troll builds against legitimate team comps just to maybe be capable of competing.

I don't see the reason why players are unable to recall and purchase items like normal. The "death to purchase" should really just be removed from the game mode altogether. A better method would be to just add a small cooldown on recalling so that players at least have some wait before cashing in.

Increase the number of champions required to play ARAM. Boost ranged champion movement speed, give melee champions starting tenacity and increased armor & magic resist.

I rarely play ARAM anymore, simply because the game mode is not fun. Perhaps my suggestions are not the greatest, however they are legit reasons for myself not liking this game mode. The idea of fighting on a 5v5 one lane map with random champions in itself isn't bad, however the execution for the current mode on live is lacking big time.

I'm sure all the "ARAM mains" will hate my post and down vote it, but these are the very same players that make casuals hate ARAM to begin with. They spend their time creating "ARAM accounts" and learning broken off builds and mechanics that are far from viable on normal modes just so they can have the advantage over players who are just trying to have a good time.

Don't speak in absolutes unless you can back up your accusations.

2.6k ARAM games. I own 77 champions, and intend to keep going. So no, I invalidated your all aram mains comment. Leave your misguided prejudice at the door. Otherwise, i'd have to comment that someone with less than 50 ARAMs under his belt's opinions doesn't hold much weight...

  1. if you don't like it don't play it's how ARAM is

  2. it's not wrong that's how the game works, these are years old rules for ARAM and they make sense, if a enemy is getting fed at least you get to kill them eventually instead of never because they can just keep backing to buy shit

  3. making ARAM following the ''role layout'' is a dreadful idea and I wouldn't even play it anymore then, it's fun getting 4 juggernauts and a ADC or just 5 juggernauts, or get 5 mages or 5 adc's etc, role lay-out is bollocks and I hate it, I stopped playing ranked for a reason and do not want to see that reason infest ARAM

They're not fun to play FOR YOU. And for every lopsided Aram game there are games where both comps have trouble with each other.

2.) ARAM doesn't teach realistic item purchases and encourages feeding. Many champions are unable to compete with the range and damage of several ranged enemies striking them at once and can only engage with abilities which often times have very long cool timers. On the contrary. You get out what you put in. If you're learning nothing, it's not because there isn't one to learn. There are many things about item purchases to learn not the least of which is situational builds. You're forced to realize Oh. I have to build against the team rather than just one lane. As for feeding, well some people feed more, others less, just like summoner's rift. There are bolder players and more cautious players. As for having to die before purchase, there is something to be learned there as well. Even on the rift, there are some situations where a completed slightly inferior item is better than an incomplete one. On the abyss, more so.

3.) Player abuse the "random" method of the mode by limiting the number of champions they have. This defeats the whole purpose the game mode. Well if Aram were ranked that would be a huge problem. But it's not. And again, if those with aram only accounts are in it to learn something, they're only hurting themselves in the long run.

That would be semi random, semi mid.

There is no requirement that you like it. There are probably some people that like aram but don't like the rift. IF you don't like it, don't play. There are some people that would find the rift too slow of a game with farming and the like and would prefer a 5 on 5 blood bath.

Sure there are totally op builds in Aram And there are those that walk in with AD Soraka. As to which I'd rather not see, I'd rather not see AD Soraka. Having fun doesn't mean you don't even try to win imo. As for mechanics, well mechanics are mechanics. You don't change Wukong's Wombo Combo simply because it's Aram.
