Is Buying Orbs Worth the Money?

I only recently found out that the orbs from the Vs. Update drop legacy skins, so I was instantly excited to start farming tokens. However, since I was too slow to notice, I spent my tokens on key fragments. I have a $20 RP gift card sitting around though, just in case something nice comes on sale, and I was wondering if it would be worth the money to try for Nightmare Cho'Gath. I've always been a fan of the skin, even though some people don't seem to like it since it's just a recolour. Sadly I missed out on it a few years back when the Alienware event was out, so I couldn't get the skin. Is it worth a try?

IMO, the orbs don't feel special enough. Sure, it's a guaranteed legacy shard, but that's it. There's actually a pretty high number of legacy skins at this point, and my inventory even before this event is pretty much just a pile of shards for legacy skins anyhow. And the drop rates for the gemstones and new skins are so low still, it would be a fluke if you got those after opening just a couple orbs. Only worthwhile if you're buying 50+ orbs, in which case chances are pretty good you'll at least get a few gemstones in there.

If they were at least a guarantee to have two skin shards, one of which would be legacy, they would feel much more worthwhile.
