cait traps arent fun
I believe that the recent changes to caits yordle snap traps have given cait far too much power in a siege scenario. She is able to lay down 5 traps in maybe a couple of seconds, which effectively allows her to wall off an entire lane. This makes it very difficult to break out of a siege, as attempting to engage on their team simply results in getting snared and shot in the face a few times. This would be acceptable if it was possible to push them out for a couple of seconds to clear the traps, but realistically she can just put them back almost as soon as they are cleared. IT lacks counterplay, and basically just isn't fun. It happens basically as soon as your team is pushed behind a tower, and basically just forces you to wait there while cait pokes down your team.
I think the solution to this is probably to mess with the skill cooldowns. putting even a 2-3 second cooldown between being able to place traps would allow you time to recognize what she is doing and possibly discourage it. It would also frankly better fit the feel of traps. They should feel like cait is being rewarded for foresight and planning, that her traps are prepared zoning tools. At current they feel more like a wall then a trap. A similar result may be achieved by lowering the trap placement range, because then she would at least have to put herself at significant risk in order to lock down a lane. It may also help to increase the rank 5 recharge time so she cant just replace traps every time you clear them
I not saying that she needs all of these nerfs, or that this skill should be nerfed onto the ground. Making cait a strong tower seiger is a good thing that fits her charecter well. However, being able to lockdown a tower practically instantly, permanently, and largely without the ability to counterplay it, is simply too much. It feels frankly unfair to her opponents. managing to drive cait off and clearing 3 traps without taking her punishment should feel like a success, which is gutted when all 3 traps just reappear two seconds later.
