When should I pick a splitpushing champ?
Hey guys, Im trying to improve my decision making in champ select and i was wondering when i should pick a splitpusher.

When your team has reliable disengage and waveclear so you can expect them to stay safe 4v5.
Or if you think you're in a matchup where the top laner can't stop you alone, make sure your team has hard engage to capitalize on you drawing people to yourself.
Don't pick a split pusher into anivia or champs with similar waveclear.
Well, I'm not what you'd call an expert, but my personal opinion on the matter is that the day you realize the vast majority of players are wholly unreliable is the day you should start exclusively playing split pushers.
Wise players state never engage in fights unless you can last hit at least one champion without dying. I translate that as 'don't team fight with idiots'. I'll personally "help" in a fight if I know I can steal a kill or two from my own allies. Other than that, they're on their own while I avoid catching their contagious case of GREED and, instead, invest my resources on objectives.
Picking a splitpush champ is not a good idea unless you want to play for fun. You may try to split and your team engages in 4v5 or they send multiple people after you, you die, but in the meantime your team farms jungle camps instead of doing baron/dragon/towers etc.
