You can tell Annie is a little kid. She has no idea how to make a meal. Every time she cooks an enemy they end up salty as fuck.

To be fair, against Annie, if you stay out of range, she couldn't do crap without flash.

Not the case with Ez, Xerath, tf or other long-ranged mages. If you are behind and play safe, they hit you anyway, and if they are behind, they one shot the entire wave and stall the lane for 5 minutes, then recall+TP back to lane.

So she was perfectly right, there is no counterplay. If she called it 'easy' then there is something to talk about, but 'no counterplay' is 100% true.

Annie has 25 more AA range than Ezreal; since they're both going AP it isn't as if either one is going to have a lot of AD, but early game poke is poke. Annie's Q is also targeted, her W is large AoE and her E can both mitigate some of Ezreal's damage and procs the reflect off his Q. Ez has range but you can juke them, his W will mana starve him if he spams it and you can use the wave to creepblock the Q.

Annie is certainly at a disadvantage from the range but I wouldn't claim she has no options.

A Champion that is 100% Skillshot driven by definition has built-in counterplay.
