I gain about 13 lp, but lose 26?

I'll go on like a 3 game win streak, gain a bunch of lp, then bam, one loss destroys me. I know it has something to fo with my mmr. can someone explain it to me?

Basically, long story short, this means the MMR system is telling you that you do not belong in your current elo so it tries to demote you. If you lose more games than you win, this happens.

Basically it means that your MMR is EXTREMELY low and matchmaking doesn't think you belong where you are.
