Laugh or Cry?

As a Mage main, I'm still unsure how to interpret the changes. On one hand, we have tons of diversity from single items. On the other hand, we're also losing some of the specialization of formerly-fundamental items, which makes it difficult to find the 'perfect build' against lane opponents. i was personally disappointed by the lack of any real AP heavy builds, since my champs mostly run/ran off of their ability to burst. One of my mains is Veigar, who can only do stuff because if his ability to scale AP. Now that mana is being changed so much, his ability to generate stacks is being threatened by the new system. Another main I run is Morgana, who I feel is going to benefit off of the new model of play. Sure, spell vamp items are gone (it wasn't ever that good), but now I can buff stats all across the board for less than before.

Just wait for the wave of reworks and number tweaks. im kinda annoyed with how many folks are taking items and placing them on the current champs with out accounting for ratio changes like the ones that happened to adcs, juggernauts, or even supports when they added in utility scaling.

For a while now Riot has said that they are wanting people to make decisions, such as which items, runes, masteries, etc. .. they take into a game based on what utilities they provide. Mages tend to be ALL ABOUT utility. It seems to me like, once again, they want less burst and more utility with these changes.

I would imagine that CDR and Mana is going to become just as important to a mage as attack speed and critical strike chance is to an ADC.
