I've been one-tricking Urgot for a while now, but he's supposedly gonna get gutted soon and I need to expand my champion pool anyway. I want to expand my champion pool and I've been looking into Darius and maybe Illaoi, but I was just wondering which top laners would be the best for me to climb with while also being somewhat player-friendly?
Really strong lane bully, high mobility counters auto attack champions really well also does nice mix of physical and magic dmg. 
is another strong somewhat underrated champion. His lane phase is tougv and he has mana issues early but his ultimate is always intimidating to the enemy team and he can decide the outcome of teamfights with a well timed ultimate alone. 
Is another really strong champion he can heal himself very well while dealing more dmg than an average tank. A piece of advice use w only when you need it so you dont lose too much health early. grivious wounds hurt him but overall a meat shield you should fear.
If you want a champion with a low skill gap go for garen nasus yorick, sion, you will climb sooner but is not so fun and later on you will struggle climbing for more challenging champion (and more fun to play) who are currently decent: yasuo irelia fiora aatrox(just got nerfed tho) jayce (OP) or kennen
Everyone has their own style and will be better or worse with different champions. You just have to go into normals and find which ones you like the best and focus on them.
