Does anyone have a guess on what CS you should have according to ELO? OR is this just situational?

I don't have a way to check it out by rank, but I've got a project that can search a player and break down CS at 5/10/15/20 minutes, filter by lane, filter by champion, etc. It's not quite ready to share, but I could look some one up if you'd like.

Old, but still relevant.

My tip is to not care so much about it. It's just a number. Sure it can be useful to use CS as a way to know how you're doing in a game but the best way in my opinion is just to compare your score to the other players in the game you're in. Take your role and champion into account as well when you do your comparision (Junglers tend to have lower CS than laners for example).

Also keep in mind that while CS is important, it's far from eveything. It's worth sacrificing CS in some situations to get a kill/objective etc.

In the past I used to care about CS /a lot/. I would constantly check and compare it with other people in the game (Especially the oppononent of the same role as me) and have a set amount of CS to aim for by certain minutes. Now I barely check at all and I rarely - if ever - compare it to others. You kind of learn to feel if you're doing well in a game and if you need to focus on CS or other stuff. I win too many games to count with lower CS than a lot of opponents or teammates because I realised how ahead/behind I was and shifted my attention towards more important things such as ganking, pushing towers, getting dragons etc.

Cs is king Objective is queen Kill is rook

Cs is everything if you want to improve.
