Why do people defend trolls?

So in my last game we were winning mid into late game but not by much. One bad teamfight and we would probably have lost. So we are pushing down mid and teamfight breaks out (im playing ziggs btw) We get the 2nd tower kill 4 of them and riven shows up to clean up. We were pretty low so we started to run and she kill 2 of our team and is chasing me and thresh. Im throwing down minefields to slow her and it looks like we will get away. Thresh decides to stop running and taunt. She jumps and kills him. I make it back to base and tell him he shouldnt have taunted and just kept running, he is gunna throw the game.

He rages hard. He says "fine, im gunna throw it then", goes down mid and starts 1v5ing. Our pantheon then starts yelling at me telling me to stfu (even though i hadnt said anything to him since i said that he shouldnt taunt) and they both start accusing me of being terrible. I must say it wasnt my greatest game, but i ended 6/4/8 and 198 cs. I kept telling them that i didnt mean anything by it and i just wanted him to play seriously, but then that opened the flood gates for the whole team telling me to just stop talking and trash talking me and praising thresh. I wasnt yelling at anyone and i was doing decent game-wise, but that didnt stop them from defending the raging, intentionally feeding, fowl mouthed support. Why do people do this?

It's called retarded pre-made who have no life and try to ruin other people's fun to feel better about themselves, unfortunately.

I'm assuming it was probably a pre-made and they all trolled you after you spoke up. In general I try not to talk to my teammates because people tend to lash out very childishly whenever you hurt their "ego". At most, now I will only try making actual tactical comments, like suggesting to group and/or when baron/dragon is up. Outside of that, I try not to talk much. Remember, a lot of immature kiddies play the game, so they feel all big and self important and think they are cool when they make others sad :P.

Honestly you started it by saying ANYTHING at all. But their retaliation was childish. At the end of the game I'd just make sure to ignore them I use my ignore list as a blacklist to trolls/elo boosted accounts/general bm with shit playstyle I don't mind a little good fun trolling like I had an ap shaco game earlier that was ap shaco mid as me top hecarim jungle skarner adc varus and support janna we won like 30-9 or something stupid like that.

Shit all over a fizz mid as ap shaco because LANers can't lane to save their own lives even with broken shit like fizz Yeah he killed me level 2 with his retarded damage because j4 had ganked and popped my flash but then I killed him twice before we hit 9 and was way ahead in cs the whole time.

it was probably a premade game. I play premades with my friends a lot and we troll and have fun. So what? It's just a game (and i also win those games when i troll. Its yorick bot lane with friends)

They threw away their dignity for the sake of win. Lost anyway lol. What they intended to do is to placate trash so he resumes normal play. It didnt worked.
