I really really REALLY

Want to play this game, but it sadly doesn't exist anymore, and despite that i keep trying again and again, hoping that maybe i'll find something that can remind me of the game, and yet every time i've found something, it's removed, changed, or pushed out.

It's a shame, that the game has changed so much, through iterative patches that the old game that was far more enjoyable for me is now all but gone, because riot wants as much control over the game as possible in order to make it possible for them to make sweeping changes to keep the game interesting for viewers and control which champions are played.

At first it didn't bother me, but then every couple of patches you'd see more of the old game go away, and this new one take it's place. Different pacing, different character counters, different fundamental philosophy. Again, i didn't care, they could take away those things, i want to play my things. Then over time as everything around me became stronger, i was left untouched. Eventually being impossible to play because of massive power changes to the items i didn't use, or nerfs to the items i did use on account of other champions. Eventually, i'd have to stop playing that too, because i just can't enjoy a game that my team would have a better chance of winning with me AFK, than the lack of power I offer, but i'd find something else. A new pleasure, something i could enjoy.

Now, i'm tired. Tired off all the removals, tired of the iron grip riot is demanding over the way I play their game, tired of the community which seems all too tunnel visioned on win rate and getting to the next bracket. Yes, winning is nice, but when you've been made incapable of enjoying a loss, because the enemy team is full of champions that aren't enjoyable to play against, yet go completely unaddressed because being designed with a nearly infinite skill ceiling, is fun for the person that ways to play and watch THAT game.

Did some good come with the changes over the years. Yes, plenty of things, but so did some bad. Did some things warrant riot's oversight to adjust and fix. Yes, and many of them were.

Sadly riot is very hesitant to throw away resources, by reverting changes, even when the side effects clearly outweigh the benefits.
