When is Pyke going to be nerfed?

He's been consistently complained about for how many patches now? No champion should ever generate 900+ gold from one non bounty kill. He has no counter play besides nuke him, because if you don't 100-0 him from the start he just runs away and comes back with almost all of his health regenerated. He has a execution, pull that has a built in slow, camouflage that gives 40% movement speed at rank one and 60% at rank 5 and works great with his passive, which says when people can't see him he regenerates health recently dealt to him, and a dash that has a built in stun.

"Oh he can't build health." That doesn't matter when it's incredibly easy for him to just run away to regenerate most of the health he lost while you're left with 30% and don't have a magical tool to regenerate your health.

"His E is easily dodgeable." Yeah it is, but the problem is if you dodge the e, you aren't able to catch him since his w gives him tons of movement speed plus camouflage, and if you don't dodge it you can't catch him anyway since it stuns you.

I get he isn't played in pro play, which is what riot balances the game around (LC$ BIG PLAY$), so I doubt they will ever do anything to him, but even the balance team that is claimed to consist of diamond players must have encountered this cancerous champion.

After his new skin sales die off a little. It’s his skin buff.

But no for real. Gut this fucking champion. He was a mistake and should never have been made.

The problem is in the gold gain. We all have seen games where he finishes double the gold of anyone else as a support with 20 cs. Or going 0/3 -5 in solo lane and then getting 1-2 kills and then suddenly becoming a god. He comebacks like a yasuo, but without having to expose himself to do dmg, most of what pykes do is to wait for an execute and try to hook. Smarter pykes use the rest of his kit to just run from any danger, not to engage.

Last game no-one banned pyke, I thought to myself "surely it's first pick pyke on enemy team!

Be glad that Pyke can't no longer Damage minions with E, his Q no longer damages multiple people but only first target hit - forced him off the side lanes and is mostly playable only on support. If you lose to Pyke on other lane than support than that player laning against him is a big noob.

Once sales on Project: Pyke and Project: Jinx slow down you will notice nerfs appear on the PBE for them.

The balance team is probably all accounts that are played by pro players. The balance team needs to buff stuff that gets them skins and pyke get them skins so they have to buff pyke.

I personally think that he gets too much gold, other than that I think he is balanced. "He has no counterplay besides nuke him" thats counterplay. Other counterplay includes control wards and sweepers. Also his hook is pretty easy to dodge as you know where its gonna go because you have to look at the target, his W cntrl ward and sweepers, his E just walk to the side when it starts, his R should not give Pyke his own "Your Cut"

just stick to the facts.

other than his ult generating too much gold, and yes, i agree the amount should be toned down, the rest of his kit has plenty counterplay.

The problem is, he is always monstrously fed with the ult giving basically double gold becoming extremely hard to deal with.

Riot: Blitzcrank's threat with his hook is too high given his speed and mobility with W, he needs to self-root to allow room for error.

they literally do this with every single balance decision. They make a standard, and then just say "who gives a fuck about that, that's old shit"

When we get rid of Aftershock. People dont realize that an assassin that gets free stats from procing a rune like this is gonna be hard to kill, especially if he has two ways to proc it. If Aftershock gets changed to a fight scaling rune, he will be MUCH easier to kill. And one change that should be done (regardless) is being able to cancel W with damage (like auto or spell, DOT that isn't a spell shouldn't (Liandry's would just hardcore ruin the ability)). I've heard people wanting it, and as a person who has played Pyke, in top before G2 did that shenanigan, I agree that W not being cancelable is a bit too strong. Can probably do something about the gold share once those two things happen (cuz then we can judge his actual strength).

I personally don't think he needs too many adjustments. Maybe a little gold reduction on his ult would put him in a balanced state. The issue people don't understand is if they nerf the ult gold TOO much then he'll be the same as playing any other AD champion support. It just wouldn't work.

Now just watch even when they attempt to nerf Pyke. He is going to be one of those abominations like Vladimir that won't die. Everyone will still play him because pedestals don't stop holding these trophy champions. Get ready for another few seasons of nerf Pyke more. I would see it as a challenge and find my own ways of killing him in the practice tool. I guess people don't really use that to test options that work on him though.
