Is it wise to be making so many drastic changes so close to worlds?

Just saying, the last i heard riot was trying to leave themselves enough of a patch window that Worlds would go out in a roughly balanced state following the changes to armor and mr itemization. But What is all this? don't get me wrong i don't dislike that some older champions are getting looked at, but really?

New interactions for several skills and massive kit changes for multiple champions. Broad strokes of damage buffs being given out, and even pimp ass new buffs for my Queens ? I'm very confused tbh, because these seem more like changes that would be made preseason than right at the Worlds' doorstep. Is there a reason so many changes are going out so quick? and affecting such a wide variety of champions to boot.

Also Riot don't think i'm going to pass a blind eye to those Zed, Leblanc and Lucian buffs....

So what do you guys think? Is it wise to be making so many large changes this close to the world stage?
