I still miss teambuilder

Considering how Riot wants to transition League into a more fundamental, structurally sound, team-based game like traditional sports to last for a long time, Teambuilder compliments those values quite nicely. Blind pick, however, does not.

Not only could you pick your exact role in Teambuilder, but you were guaranteed your exact champion. You got to be matched with players with similar champion and overall team-comp interests. You could practice specific champions and theory-build all you want because your team had accepted your decision instead of you forcing it on them. You want to try Katarina top without being raged at? Well teambuilder automatically matched you with a team that would be ok with that! It was great for new players, practicing champions, making friends, practicing team comps, decreasing disagreements, and more. And yes, the Queue times were a bit longer, but that's something that I was (and am) personally fine with. And this is, after all, a thread full of my own opinions and I recognize that it could be extremely unpopular.

Blind Pick sacrifices game integrity, role placement reliability, champion selection reliability, limitations on toxicity, and more for simply...shorter queue times? Imo, it's not worth it, especially considering how it doesn't support any of the values that Riot has aimed for in the future. Let's be honest, it's the screw-around queue. It's a joke where you go to screw around and not care. You can do the same thing in teambuilder while having teambuilder also serve the function of providing a good queue to practice all in one! You get it all for the price of a few more minutes to find a game, and I'm 100% ok with that.

That's just my take on things though
