Teemo Changes; Why and How.
#Why Should Teemo Receive Changes Teemo is one of the original champions designed by Riot. To be honest he was the first champion I mained and it was because of how awesome he is thematically and how fun he is to play. Everyone loves Teemo at some level, and I can see it hard for Riot to even considering touching his kit since he is kind of sacred in a sense. They want to keep his identity and most likely will never give him a full on rework. I am fine with this, and also think he shouldn't receive a full on rework ever. But what I am about to suggest is a small rework that would help adjust Teemo into a truly newer game than when he was created.
#How Teemo Should Be Changed Teemo does not need a lot of work to be honest. He could just use a few small changes that I am about to suggest. Although not as big and different (referring to rework ideas) as the previous posts I have made this year, what I am about to suggest would be considered necessary and healthy.
To start off the first thing I would suggest changing is his W ability, Move Quick. It is pretty much the only primary spell that offers movement speed, a long with a 17 second cool down. The cool down is long and the movement speed doesn't keep him even close to safe by today's standards. Make the cool down scale dow per level and add in a ... ROLL. It would be adorable to see Teemo with a roll in his kit, but more importantly it would keep the little guy safe in the dangerous lane top lane is.
The second and so far (I may edit and add more in the future) last change I would like to see, is making his Noxious Traps (R) instantly detonate upon impacting an enemy. I know, I know, Riot already graced Teemo with more range on his ultimate, but I truly think this would be a big help to Teemo. It would help him chase down highly mobile champions if well aimed, escape the champions that can easily chase him down, be better at wave-clearing, and even further increase his team fight potential, which is lacking.
P.S I am sure Riot could adjust other areas of his kit if these changes are too much. Anyway, thank you for reading this lengthy article, :)
