I got 80k blue essence with the update and I was just missing two champs, so I haven't really had any problems. If you want variety for cheap disenchant the most expensive shards you get and keep the cheap ones. Start getting all the 450 champs, then get the 1350 champs and start rolling randoms with all the cheap shards you've stocked once you hit level 40/45. You also get the free ones so you should have more than 20 champs if you are already level 30, just cycle between your champs to avoid growing bored.
It really isn't Riot's job to cater to the unpaid players beyond enough to keep them playing. The only reason you get to play for free is because you help entertain the paying customers and because you might one day be a paying customer. There needs to be some incentive to be a paying customer. I paid a ton of IP to get all the runes I wanted, which meant I didn't have a lot of champions. I got half the champions through re-rolls when I grinded the boxes for Hextech Annie, which is why I now have all of them, I don't really need them though I've still only played 10 champs and even that is just because I'm testing the waters with the new rune system and always filling in blind instead of trying to win in draft.
You don't need to buy runes anymore, you have all the runes you need for any champion, which is why Riot had to tighten up the giving out free champions to still give a little something to paying customers. While it might be a little hard to get new champions for level 30 players you should have gotten a hefty amount of essence for all the runes you've stocked up until now, which you could have spent getting 450 champs. Before anyone starts whining about pay to win you should remember that a lot of plat+ players just play one champion, playing more than 10 champions each week is definitely a bad idea if you want to be competitive. You only really need enough blue essence to buy the flavour of the month champions, but even then you could probably do just as well by just getting really good with 1-5 champs and never change them out.
The problem isn't that you write too much, the problem is that you write a single block of text and the pictures break up the text in a weird sort of way. You need to read some books and get off the meme-sites if you want to become a better writer. You are also a little light on punctuation I think. I recommend you get Grammarly, it's a free web extension that helps you write.
