Thresh Too Much Utility

Seriously, guys. How is Thresh NOT OP compared to other supports? I've seen 'high skill-cap' thrown around, which is a FAIL argument when EVERYONE seems to do well with Thresh. He's got a ton of CC and is tanky as hell, like Taric and Leona. Problem is that Thresh also has decent mobility (unlike Taric), can provide incredible mobility/escape for his adc (unlike EVERY OTHER sup except Bard), and has range! WTF?! Is Riot TRYING to invalidate their older sup champs? Thresh is in every game unless banned, and it's easy to see why. Thresh needs something removed from his kit, because as things are he's just got too much to offer.
