Honestly Aurelion
Just isn't amazing enough to provide a distraction to the fact that we will now have only 5 bans for a while in a time where double that amount would be greatly appreciated.
As I stated to Riot

My interest lies in the upcoming champions. I believe a immobile mage was mentioned.
I'd like to know your opinion on how that champ can be relevant in today's game without outclassing every other immobile mage.
The only immobile mages that I feel comfortable picking currently have hard cc or %HP damage.
ex:
![]()
![]()
![]()
And pseudo tanks like
![]()
If an immobile mage is released that can't deal with tanks like Brand/Malz, I see no reason to play them.
If an immobile mage is released that can't do the former and can't hard cc an assassin, I see no reason to play them as well.
And then, the mage needs a reason to be picked over a mobile mage at the same time.
I feel like the next champ will need to make many champs redundant or be picked purely on looking/feeling cool.
Kind of like Jhin, I love how balanced he is. I play him because I like him, not cause he's optimal in any situation and my biggest fear for him is that he'll be buffed into outclassing other champs and then nerfed into irrelevance.
I'm anticipating a **need **to ban him because his kit doesn't seem great without being stupid on numbers as well as to stop week one players.
