Autofill in the most populated ELO??????

So i'm a Silver 5 jg main and as far as i know autofill was made to cut queue times by placing people in roles they do not normally play to fill in the gaps in popularity between roles and this should be a great thing at higher tiers of play where the playerbase is much smaller so there are a lot less people to fill all the roles. The problem is that i'm in Silver 5 which is the average rank for all League players and is the most populated ELO according to RIOT's own charts but i just got autofilled to support two ranked games in a row........ in the most populated ELO..... anyone catching whats wrong with this? If not i'll explain quickly. Since it is the most populated ELO there should be next to no problems filling all the roles and therefore autofill should'nt be a worry in. What the hell is this? Is it a sick prank? I don't think its funny and i don't think anyone else in Silver who gets autofilled finds it funny either so if i could get an answer as to why autofill is activated in the most populated queue it would be very much appreciated. Thanks for reading if you made it this far through my problem/rant.

If you read the patch notes, autofill is now always enabled except for those with immunity (i.e. from recently being autofilled/playing sup/filling/promo series).

Silver/high bronze might be the most populated elo, but if say, 95% of the community wants top/jg/mid/adc and only 5% wants to support (instead of the 80%/20% for things to be balanced), than the higher population means supports are even more needed in absolute numbers for highly populated elos than less populated ones.

How many support mains do you run into lower elo? Everyone usually wants to NOT play support because they want to you know, carry. Or it could be that not many people were in queue at that time, so you might have just picked a wrong time to queue up. Or it could be both
