Is Varus viable in competitive play?
Why is he never picked? He seems good, is it because of his lack of mobility?
GREAT poke, good laning phase, heal reduction, AoE root ult, high-hp target shred, AS steroid.

He was seen quite a lot recently in the LCS as a mid laner. It really depends on his team comp.
I find Ashe better as immobile champ than Varus, Her ulti is global and it's a stun instead of a root, her Volley is easier to hit with, her Q gives her AS sertoid but she decides when she wants to use it whereas Varus must kill/assist before, I don't see why pick Varus if Ashe is better.
