How to nerf Draven

While people argue the reason (DD is broken, crit itemization is helping him too much with its price reduction, Draven himself is broken, etc), it is clear Draven is incredibly strong right now. I would like to propose a change that I feel will increase the skill floor of Draven while keeping him at similar strength in the hands of mains but making him more punishing for those who do not put in the time to learn him.

Replace his current passive with a version of his old passive, Wicked Blades. Instead of dealing 30 + (4 x level) over 4 seconds on crits and Q autos, make it deal 15 + (50% bonus AD) while reducing the damage of non Q autos by 20%. This will serve to increase Draven's damage when he is played optimally but drastically reduce it when he does not have his axes. It makes it significantly easier to punish Draven and force him into bad situations without adding too much power in the optimal case.

NOTE: These numbers are just for reference, They would most likely need to be changed for proper balance, with significantly less damage in the early game and slightly more in the late game than his old passive.

Scaling off bonus AD rather than levels keeps this from being overbearing in the early game while also allowing Draven's opponents the opportunity to make him fall behind even farther. Similarly, it keeps a large part of the snowball aspect of current Draven.

Having this ratio on the passive can also give Riot another balancing lever by allowing them to shift some of the power from Draven's Q into his passive, giving his enemies more time to react. However, this also serves to make Draven more consistent in the late game since the passive procs on crits as well as Q autos.

Overall, I feel like this change will make Draven far more punishable than he is now. It will also give Riot more levers to balance him with. Plus, the blood brothers will be back.

TLDR New Passive: Wicked Blades

  • Draven's critical strikes deal 20 + (40% bonus AD) bonus physical damage over 4 seconds. Spinning Axe also causes this effect even if it does not critically strike. Non spinning axes only deal 80% AD physical damage.*

I like the direction you're going with this, but overall Draven is a champion who was designed to be super oppressive in the early game (kind of like his big brother Darius, COUGH COUGH). I'll admit, Draven is too strong as of now, but in the end he's always going to be that champ who's a pain in the ass early game, but falls off as the game progresses or if he's shut down early.

Imo they just need to revert the DD buff or the Draven Q buff.
