So, what follows is something I posted as a comment elsewhere, but I feel the need to make an entirely separate post for it as well, seeing as this is all that's on everyone's mind.
"Actually, Ekko is beyond balanced. His base mana is low, he has high mana costs, and he has semi-long cooldowns early game. Ekko is the definition of a mid-late assassin, as he scales super hard, and your team feeding him early isn't the game designer's fault, as you've now given him everything he needs for late game.
Also, Ekko is quite hard to play, and that's the benefit of an assassin, mostly skill based, with large rewards. Have you played Ekko? Do you know how hard it is to perfectly land a W on a whole team, let alone one person. It has a delay for a reason. Not to mention the extremely short ranged Q that is a skill shot, and very easy to dodge at range.
Ekko excels at 1v1's with melee champs. You want to know what counters him? Someone with range that knows how to use it.
I'm beyond sick of seeing these posts as someone who has been on both ends of playing him, and playing against him. Learn the champion, study him, play him. Do whatever you need to do, to understand a champion, and what makes them strong and what makes them weak, and for god sake. Stop crying for nerfs on EVERY champion (that goes for everyone, not just you).
You want to see a TRULY broken champion? Go play Ryze for a few days. There's a reason he has nearly a 100% ban rate at higher ELO's. Riot knows they've screwed up with him a tad, (go look at Surrenderat20.net where he's currently sitting on nerfs) and they're trying to figure out how to fix it. In the meantime, leave Ekko alone, and complain about Ryze a little instead."
