for a newly dropped adc, xayah is extremely underpowered with tradititional adc runes and masteries...

I cant really tell cause all I play against is Caitlyn and you cant win against this champion regardless lul
Max E and don't go Bork, go BF/crit items. She's good in lane unless she's vs caitlyn and snowballs harder than Draven. She's not underpowered in the slightest.
oh, is that why she does triple the dmg of every1 else good to know she was actually underpowered
Ive played her and she feels fine. Shes more centered around mid and late game. she can also make easy picks with her R>E>W>Q>E
Try her out first or post on the account you have tried her out with. Since she is so new, people still are doing all kinds of things that will eventually be known as sub-optimal.
This is what I've had success with the most
Standard fervor mastery setup and rune setup Essence Reaver> Phantom Dancer > Berzerker greaves as core items. Fill in with Last Whisper, Bloodthirster or BoTRK, and either a GA or another Zeal item. Max E first and aim to get a good pull in to win you fights.
A quick tip for her: Xayah's level 2 is INSANE if you set it up right. As you're going to hit the last minion for level 2, throw your Q at the enemy and start stacking feathers behind them. Use the passthrough of the feathers to last hit the minion that should get you level 2 while hitting them then quick level your E and use it. The burst is very surprising and many don't expect it. Often you can kill them with their heal still up.

She's not on-hit based. Just. Why.
BF sword first, if you die early build Pickaxe.
AA + Q + E + AA can burst for >50% hp once you get BF sword. That's not even counting extra autos from your W. Get a support that can hard cc and you've got yourselves an ez instakill farm.
My problem with her is that she's extremely good against in-your-face melee dps types (think Garen). But that archetype is weak as it is. Not a smart move, balance-wise.
She is not... I see her dominate out of the box.
I almost feel like you need to rush Manamune on her. Her mana supply and spell costs SUCK SUPER HARD for a champion who needs to be spamming spells to be effective.
